Today, I’m going to sew a floral summer tank, perfect for layering. I am going to model it after an Amy Winehouse tank that I got in London. I love how it fits and think the same cut would look lovely in a floral print.
My friend gave me a dress his wife was going to donate. I love the fabric, so I am going to redesign the dress. I’ve decided to take it in, shorten the length, and then will layer two gathered hems to the bottom of the dress. This should be fun!
Today I am going to be adding fisheye darts to this lovely tunic my coworker gave me. This is a quick and easy way to add a little shape to the silhouette of a piece of clothing.
Happy Spring everyone! I’m here, feeling idle, and decided to finally resize a shirt that I salvaged from my husband’s clothes donation pile. I’m not going to add anything fancy, but simply resize the shirt.

I was gifted a shirt and found that the sleeves are too short. In addition, the neckline backing at the bottom of the v-neck keeps showing. So I decided that this would be a good shirt for me to alter to see if I could make it a better fit for me.
For this sewing tutorial, I am going to shorten the sleeves. There is some nice gathering detail on the front, so I’m going to try and match the aesthetic and add some ruffles around the sleeves. I’m also going to sew back the neckline backing that keeps popping up.
